GHER participation in the 2nd General Assembly of the Aquarius project

Charles Troupin participated in the 2nd General Assembly of the Aquarius project. The meeting was held in Athens from March 3 to 5, 2026.

Aquarius is a 4-year European project that started in March 2024, with the objective to provide transnational access to 57 integrated marine and freshwater research infrastructures, focusing on environmental challenges, such as 

• The protection and restoration of marine and freshwater ecosystems
• The prevention and elimination of pollution of the oceans and seas
• The carbon-neutrality of blue economy.

GHER contributes to Work Package 5 – Research Infrastructure Technical Training, via a Virtual Research Environment, and Work Package 6 - Data Management and Open Science Practices, where the access to data and data products will be improved.
